Benefits Of QPride MV1 Tablets

Used to control blood sugar levels

QPride MV1 is a combination of three antidiabetic medicines: Glimepiride, metformin and voglibose. They work by different mechanisms to provide better control of blood sugar when single or dual therapy is not effective. Glimepiride is a sulfonylurea which works by increasing the amount of insulin released by the pancreas to lower the blood glucose. Metformin is a biguanide which lowers glucose production in the liver, delays glucose absorption from intestines and increases the body's sensitivity to insulin. Voglibose is an alpha-glucosidase inhibitor which prevents breakdown of complex sugars into simple sugars such as glucose. This prevents the blood glucose levels from rising to very high levels after meals.

VOGLIBOSE

Voglibose target PPHG by reducing the intestinal absorption of carbohydrates after a meal thus redusing PPHG and HbA1c.

  • Voglibose scores over both acarbose and miglitol in terms of side effect profile
  • Voglibose delays glucose absorption at the intestine level and thereby prevent sudden surge of glucose of after a meal.

GLIMIPERIDE

  • Proven Efficacy
  • Exerts Minimum Load β-cells

METFORMIN

Metformin in an oral antidiabetic, Metformin decreases hepatic glucose production. Metformin also potentiates insulin action by decreasing insulin resistance.

  • Metformin causes few adverse effects the most common is gastrointestinal upset and is associate with a low risk of hypoglycemia

INDICATION

  • In the management of Post Prandial Hyperglycemia in Type -II Diabetes
  • Diabetes Mellitus Type - II

Glimepiride is the latest sulphonylurea. Glimepiride blocks potassium channels on the b cells of pancreas. This releases insulin. In addition it also has an extrapancreatic activity. Besides releasing insulin glimepiride by itself improves the sensitivity of the insulin receptor and thus improves the sensitivity of the insulin receptor and thus improves blood glucose control.
